In 1978 AE Evangelistic Enterprise Ltd was officially registered as a charity in the UK. The office was initially run by Jean Wilson and Pat Strange. Unlike other Support Offices the office in the UK did not focus merely on raising funds locally for the African Enterprise teams in Africa, but also saw to the distribution of these funds over the different teams and many other structural support systems. This led to Jean Wilson being appointed as the International Treasurer for the entire organisation.
African Enterprise International was later founded to oversee all the African Enterprise teams as well as Support Offices, and so relieved the UK office of many of its burdens. African Enterprise UK continues to raise funds from the UK for the ministry work in Africa to this day, and is run by Harvey and Marlies Thomas.
