Revd. Canon David Hewetson, one of the founding members of the African Enterprise Australia Board back in the early 1980’s has been a solid theological mentor and intellectual encourager to Michael for several decades. Very regularly he would make a point of sending Michael some key new theological book that he felt he should know about and absorb. For many years he was a strong contributor in the African Enterprise International Board and also served as its Chairman for many years. And even when he was no longer Chairman but only a Member at Large, he and his committed wife, Anne, came faithfully to board meetings in Africa. Apart from being an Anglican Rector, David was a theological lecturer and author and his insights, both spoken and written were very important to Michael over the years.
